Cardiff City F.C
Cardiff is looking to bounce back after suffering a 3-0 thrashing at home against Spurs. Before that match, they had gone two unbeaten by beating Leicester City and drawing with Crystal Palace. They sit on 18 points which is only 2 from the relegation zone and are in desperate need of points. They have a great opportunity to grab three points to ease off the pressure and possibly jump up to 15th place depending on other results. They face Newcastle and Arsenal both away in the EPL after the Cardiff game so will be hopeful they can give themselves a small amount of breathing space by beating the bottom team.
Huddersfield Town F.C
Things have not gone well for Huddersfield Town as they sit at the bottom of the EPL league after Xmas which is normally a sign for guaranteed relegation. If they are going to pull off a miracle and escape the drop they will need to beat the other contenders for relegation starting with Cardiff who is just above the drop zone. The last time they won in the Premier League was back on November 25, 2018, and confidence is at an all-time low. It is a must win the game for them or they may as well start packing their bags and preparing for life in the Championship.
Prediction – Draw
When there is so much on the game both teams normally cancel each other out as they are too scared of conceding a goal and I think that this will be one of those matches. An early goal is needed to make this an entertaining encounter and if anyone is going to put the ball in the back of the net it is Cardiff but I think it will end in a goalless draw.
