Crystal Palace F.C
If Crystal Palace is going to avoid the relegation battle at the end of the campaign they need to get some points on the board as soon as possible. They are only six points clear from third from bottom Southampton so if they are unable to pick up points throughout January, they could find themselves fighting for survival. They have hit a patch of good form in recent weeks which has seen them beat Manchester City and Wolves, drawing with Cardiff and losing to Chelsea. With Townsend and Zaha upfront they are causing teams lots of problems especially on the counter-attack which should play a vital role in the outcome of the match.
Watford F.C
Watford currently sits in eighth place and are only two points behind seven placed Leicester City. With 29 points already secured, they should be safe for another year and will be looking to build the foundations of security over the next few seasons. In their last four matches in the EPL, they have only lost to Chelsea and have managed to beat West Ham along with a draw against Newcastle and Bournemouth in their last match.
Prediction – Crystal Palace Win
Both teams have been on excellent form over recent weeks so it should be a close battle between the two EPL clubs. Both teams are scoring goals for fun so this could be an exciting goal-packed match. Due to the fact that Crystal Palace is at home it should give them a slight edge and see them outscoring Watford to get the three points. I think there will be late goals in this game but Palace will come out on top winning by a margin of 3 – 2.
