On Sunday the 20th of January bottom club Huddersfield take on second place Manchester City in the Premier League which kicks off at 13:30.
Huddersfield Town
It is sad to see David Wagner get the sack after the miracle he performed last campaign. The team is at the bottom of the table however so it should come as no surprise. The team is currently on 11 points and 8 points from safety. In there next three EPL games after facing Manchester City they face Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal so whoever is in charge is going to have an extremely difficult task of getting any points over the next 4 matches. In their last match in the Premier League, they managed to draw against Cardiff so it should give fans a glimmer of hope but it is extremely likely they will go down at the end of the campaign.
Manchester City
Title holders Manchester City are in form and have been banging in the goals for fun. They managed to get a vital win over EPL rivals Liverpool which has given the players and fans to believe that they will be once again crowned champions. They beat Wolves in impressive fashion in their last match in the Premier League 3-0 and will be hoping to score even more against bottom club Huddersfield. They are only 4 points behind leaders Liverpool so if either team slips up it gives the others a big advantage.
Prediction – Manchester City Win
Sometimes when a manager leaves the team find a new lease of life but in Huddersfield’s case, it is simply that they do not have high enough quality to stay in the EPL. It should be a case of how many City will score rather than what the outcome will be which is why my prediction is 0-5.
