Newcastle plays at home against Manchester City and away at Tottenham Hotspur in their next two matches after this game so if they do not get anything from the Cardiff match, their task of staying in the EPL will be extremely hard to achieve.

After been beaten by Spurs 0-3 on the 1st of January, Cardiff was able to get a valuable point against Huddersfield in their last match in the EPL. If Cardiff is able to beat Newcastle they will jump 4 points above the relegation zone and they could even jump up to 15th place depending on other results. After this match, they are away to Arsenal and at home to Bournemouth.

Prediction – Newcastle Win

Newcastle United will need the support of the home fans to help them get the 3 points they are in desperate need to get out of the relegation zone. With so much at stake, we should see the best version of the team which is capable of beating most on their day. The first goal is vital so it will depend on which team gets off to the best start which I think will be Newcastle which is why I am predicting a 2-1 victory for them. If Cardiff is, however, able to score the first goal I could see this ending in a draw.
