After getting knocked out of two cups Tottenham Hotspur bounced back in the league in their last match by beating Watford 2-1. The win has moved them 2 points behind 2nd place Manchester City and 7 from leaders Liverpool. If they are going to make up the difference before the end of the season they can not afford to lose any more matches. They are at home to Leicester City and then play away at Burnley in their next two matches after this so will be hoping they can put the pressure on their title rivals by gaining maximum points.
Newcastle United
Over the last few weeks, Newcastle United have managed to pull themselves out of the danger zone but are far from safety yet. They are very high on confidence after beating Manchester City in their last EPL games 2-1 and before that, they beat Watford 0-2. They are now on 24 points and 5 points from 18th place Cardiff so will need at least another 3 or 4 wins from now till the end of the season to see them safe. They are away at Wolves, at home against Huddersfield and Burnley in their next 3 so it gives them a chance to get the points they need to stay in the EPL.
Prediction – Tottenham Hotspur Win
Spurs fans will be happy that Son is back from the Asia Cup as he has been vital so far this campaign and could play a vital role in the result over the weekend. Tottenham needs the result if they are going to stay in the title race and with the quality they have it should be enough to secure all 3 points by a 2-0 margin.
