Thanks to a late injury-time goal Spurs were able to beat Fulham in their last match in the EPL which was vital as it now gives them a 4 point advantage over 4th place Chelsea. They are 9 points behind leaders Liverpool so will need to remain unbeaten until the end of the season if they are going to overtake them to win the EPL. They are without Son due to the Asia Cup and Ali, Kane, due to injury so they will need the other fringe attackers to get them the points they need until the first team players are back. They are away at Newcastle United in their next match so it is a great chance to attempt to make up some points on Man City and Liverpool.

Watford F.C

It has been a great campaign so far for Watford as they sit 7th place on 33 points. If they can finish the season where they currently are it will have to be an exceptional result considering the others behind them. They are only 3 points ahead of 12th place Bournemouth so one loss can have a huge impact on the table standings. They are yet to lose this year picking up 7 points from a possible 9 so confidence is high and will not be a pushover for Spurs.

Prediction – Tottenham Hotspur Win

Tottenham Hotspur cannot afford to lose as it could put their qualification for the Champions League in danger. They are badly hit with injuries but do have enough quality in the squad to be able to beat Watford if they play at their best. It is vital that Spurs get the first goal or they could struggle to break down Watford with their star players out injured. I think with the home fans behind them along with the confidence in the team it will be enough for Spurs to come out 2-0 winners.
