In their last two matches in the Premier League, West Ham has dropped vital points against teams they should be beating. They drew 1-1 with Brighton in their last outing and the game previous they were beaten 2-0 playing away at Burnley. If the Hammers are going to achieve the dream of playing in the Champions League every season they are going to have to improve a great deal and will be lucky this time around to secure Europa League qualification. They currently sit in 10th place with Watford and Wolves 1 point in front of them.
Arsenal F.C.
After been humiliated by the 5-1 thrashing against Liverpool at Anfield the Gunners bounced back in their last match to beat Fulham 4-1. It was a vital win as if they had suffered a second loss on the bounce the confidence would have been badly damaged. They currently site 5th in the EPL and are only 3 points from 4th place Chelsea who have been slipping up in recent weeks. Qualifying for the Champions League in his first season in charge will be an impressive achievement from Emery which has seen the style of play dramatically change since he has taken over from long-standing Wenger.
Prediction – Draw
It should be a very competitive match between the two London clubs with West Ham having the home advantage. The Gunners have slightly more quality in their team but it will depend on which team want it more on the day. I think that it will end up being a draw between the two teams with Arsenal taking the lead but losing a late goal so it ends in a 1-1 draw.
